Shadows of Darkness

Shadows of darkness creep form the skies,
Roomer of evil sailed in the forest's eyes.
Whispers grew of a nameless fear,
As the evil could be felt to be rising.
Such evil that can be not met by the mortal,
Such evil that flows like smoke, flies like ash, and burns like fire.
Such evil that above all other wills has power as the one desire.
Darkness creeps back in the forests, as the evil come forward,
The wind grows impatient, the trees get unsteady, for each one's mind,
Has the fear of one kind, a nameless fear that slithers through the forest,
Such fear that is moving.
You cannot see it, but can hear it move,
You cannot smell it, but can feel it move,
You cannot escape it, for it lingers through every bark,
You cannot get out, the shadow moves in the dark.
You cannot get out.
They are coming.
