Daredevil

From roof top to roof top I make my way,
In the cover of shadow, I break my day.
Down the sides of towering buildings I do crawl.
I watch over the city with a vision that doesn’t see much,
In fact a vision that doesn’t see at all.
Whether I leave my eyes open or leave them shut,
What I look upon is the same,
I live in never ending fear
Of inevitable death.
That’s why as in this unjust air I draw breath,
I fight to conquer fear,
In order to conquer death.
I wasn’t born with this gift,
Neither this curse did I earn,
In fires of tragedy did my normal life burn,
I know wise to stay low,
To try to make a living out of the live remaining in me,
But glory is his who turns his greatest flaw into his strongest weapon
And that is who I chose to be.
One that can’t see what everyone else does, yes I may be that man,
Even then what I see is what no one else can.
I shall fight all that stands in the way of how the world should be,
I shall give up everything to give to all what was taken away from me.
The Devil they same is my name,
And the Devil is what I dare to become.
It feels just like how it does to be in love,
You feel everything around you,
Roses are no longer red; the sky is no longer blue,
And when love is taken away from you is when you must decide,
Whether to follow your heart or to protect what is true.
So from roof top to roof top I swing along,
Fighting to serve justice, fighting against what’s wrong,
Fighting in darkness, forever in darkness.
